Description:

JPMorgan Chase is hiring a Network-focused Infrastructure Engineer III to join its global enterprise infrastructure engineering team. In this role, you will govern, optimize, and secure the data network architectures running at massive scale across the bank's core ecosystems. The position demands a combination of traditional network engineering (routing, switching, fabric automation, zero-trust perimeter configurations) and modern infrastructure automation. A key responsibility includes leveraging enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate network telemetry monitoring, capacity analysis, and documentation pipelines while strictly validating output against financial regulatory, resilience, and security baselines.

Key Technologies:

Python, Ansible, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), SD-WAN, Fabric Switching, Wi-Fi architectures, Network Security Systems, BGP, WAN, 802.1X, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, Forescout, Cloud Platforms (Public/Private/Hybrid)

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of applied professional experience backed by formal training or industry-recognized certifications in infrastructure engineering concepts.
  • Operating knowledge across foundational network engineering planes, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), SD-WAN setups, and datacenter fabric switching topologies.
  • Proficiency leveraging programming and automation scripting frameworks (specifically Python and Ansible) to automate routine configuration blocks, manage telemetry tools, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Demonstrated experience safely utilizing enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support network infrastructure workflows, capacity planning, and technical documentation. Must exhibit rigorous validation habits to audit AI recommendations against strict bank security parameters before implementation.
  • Foundational knowledge of enterprise cloud architectures with the practical ability to maintain networks, isolate anomalies, and bridge connectivity across public and private cloud environments.
  • Drive daily activities supporting standard application capacity workflows. Coordinate with upstream/downstream software engineering teams to analyze infrastructure risks and enforce security remediation updates.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with partial supervision while taking accountability for high-impact multi-technology project deliverables.
